fresh news from mrs lee....

i feel so tired. got an amath test tomorrow on functions and matrices. had tuition a little while ago and apparently this is something i can score well in if i don't screw up and make careless mistake after careless mistake.

we had the first lesson with the facilitators from some commercial life science company today. the guy who did most of the talking was really lame. like: 'oh, well apparently your teacher was my former JC bio lecturer and he's still as handsome and good looking as ever' type thing. *rolls eyes* the period was really boring and a totally waste of time cause we didn't know much more about microbiology then we did before the lesson. like that there's good bacteria and bad bacteria kind of thing.

oh, we heard from mrs lee that in view of the raffles' new 6 year plan thing (no O's, from rgs/ri straight to rjc) the admin was thinking up this new secondary 3 passing scheme which hasn't been finalised yet. as it is, we have to pass 5 out of 8 subjects (1 language paper and 4 other subjects) to be promoted to secondary 4 but they don't want us to throw subjects aways, so they were thinking that in addition to having to pass 5 subjects (english, chinese, 1 math, 1 humanity and 1 science), they should have this passing grade for the 3 other subjects, like amybe 40 or so. i'm telling you, miss heng is just doing that so that it would reflect better on the school's MSG (mean subject grade), it's not like she really cares if we get retained or not. for the past ten years the school's science department has been pushing for combine sciences for the last class in the level be cause they're only doing chemistry and in order to get into the science stream in a junior college, you have to either take at least 2 sciences or do physics. see, if they do combine science then they would know the basics of another science, enough to get them through they're O-levels anyways. miss heng on the other hand says that she would prefer that we all took pure science. like what's the use if they're not going be able to use it in future. she's just limiting they're future choices in life. like she hasn't ruined our life enough yet?

was watching highnotes on central 5 minutes ago. it was some royal variety performance or something like that. notice how they always do a section on andrew lloyd webber in those kinda shows? well, samantha mumba was singing one of the songs and she didn't bring out the grand andrew lloyd webber effect at all. anyhow, i enjoy watching those. only problem it it always starts around 10pm and ends around 12am, which is bad cause i try to sleep before 11 so i get my 7 hours of sleep. always end up taping like half of it and never find the time to watch it anyways. argh! they should screen highnotes at 9. ;p yeah well, it's 11.10 already so i'm off to bed. g'night.

oh and did i mention that i am going to watch my school's choir concert as well afterall? well, melissa managed to persuade me to go so now i'm officially broke. yeesh.
