stupid people and stupider rules.

currently reading: patricia cornwell - black notice
currently listening to: some violin piece on symphony 92.4

today was boring. after going to bed at 4 in the morning, i ended up getting up only at around 11. was planning to do some homework but my mom dragged me down to some stupid annual general meeting the condominium i reside in was holding, since my dad was working and there was no one to go with her. apparently i'm under-aged and therefore i have no right to vote and my words are of no importance so i ended up sitting there for the next 5 hours listening to the residents and management commity bickering about various things from passing rules on parking to the implementation of the new security system that many people were against. i really don't see the piont since it still includes having a pass card type thing. i think that if you really want security measures, go get a fingerprint recognition system or something like that and even then, there are ways of getting around it.

so anyways, it was so draggy cause they kept going around in circles about the same things over and over again. like about parking and the issue of permanent vehicle licenses. the silly guy who owns this unit that he doesn't even stay in was going on about how the need that the IC of someone has to reflect this address before he can get a PVL. he kept saying that there should be other ways of identification for the next 30 mins, not once stating what he had in mind. i mean, so we know that he disagrees but can that be resolved by him telling us then and again that it was a problem and why it was a problem?

another piont, i noticed that the council members were either chinese or indians. what happens to the other racial groups residing in the development then? who's speaking up in their interest?

oh dear, i'm starting to sound like mrs tan (my history teacher), aren't i? hmm, i guess history really does train our analytical skills because last year i probably wouldn't have noticed.

anyways, i think i'm going to start on homework and then maybe spend the rest of the night reading and hopefully finishing up the book i'm currently reading. night then.
