ten little toes

on the way home after dinner:
"mom, do you think i've matured since i left secondary school?"
"why? would you like to be more mature?"
"no, i'm just wondering because my friends all seem so sensible and grown up, but my classmates are all still such happy-go-lucky people."

2 minutes later, i realised that i was staring at my toes as i wiggled them. hehe.

i suppose i just answered my own question.

not that it's a bad thing, of course. these days, adults are so caught up with work and other things that they often miss the simple yet fascinating things in life. yes, wiggling toes are fascinating. ever wondered what makes them able to do that? the complex anatomy of the human body is really quite intriguing. shall attempt to read sis's copy of "clinical anatomy" after the exams. that is, if my short attention span hasn't made me move on to other (more) fascinating subjects.

and in case you were wondering- yes, i do enjoy biology. i suppose thanks in part to mr teh who made everything seem so interesting and simple.. to me, at least. i remember the times he bought sheep's heart and some animal's eyeball (think it was bull) for the class just so we could explore/cut them up and learn about the arteries, the valves, the chordae tendineae and the lens and the sclera and.. :)

Love, Wan
