lotr 2

watched lotr yesterday. (possible spoilers ahead.)

the movie was a perfect blend of horror, sadness, warmth and humor, courtesy of gimli. and i thought smeagol was played very well by andy serkis, who doesn't not even appear for in the movie, with his actions and facial expressions however he brought gollum/smeagol to life, through motion capture, and brought the audience through many scenes of pity, horror and uncertainty.

the sets were also very well built. endoras was so beautiful. sadly, they dismantled it after the shoot was done. bah, i wouldn't mind living it something like that. ;p

anyway, after the movie, sis and i went down to orchard road to meet up with mom and aunt who were shopping there. well, our little cousin was there too and after receiving an evil thing called a beyblade for christmas, needed help assembling it. if you don't know, we're talking about tops which are supposed to be built out of little bits of plastic, painstaking pasted with equally small pieces of stickers. so anyways, we ended up staying 2 hours in swensons at orchard point, before decided that we should leave. and another 2 hours sitting at the burger king at orchard point sticking more stickers and trying to put stuff together with a makeshift screwdriver. those things are evil i say, pure, absolute evil.
