hmm, what's up with people and soccer? i was just along orchard road on my way to tuition, the stretch infront of liat towers and the place was swarmed with people watching the world cup on the huge screen. if you ask me, i think the world cup's really over-rated. i mean, i know soccer's supposed to be like a strategy type game but i really don't get the point of staring transfixed as 20 guys (excluding the goal-keepers, of course) chase each other and a round thing they call a ball around a large field . i also don't get why everyone has to yell 'GOAL!!!!!' whenever the round thing they kick around gets kicked into what i presume is called the goal post. it's usually loud enough to scare the living daylights outta timid 'ole me. will someone please explain this strange behaviour to me already? ;p
