just back from jurong point with sis. went grocery shopping. bleh. not having mom and dad around's so inconvenient.

we were sitting outside the photocopying shop at the basement (next to sembawang music), waiting for the guy to get done copying and binding sis's stuff, when this old man came up to us and started lamenting the fact that youngsters these days don't read the newspapers enough. he thought i was in primary 6 and that sis was a sec 4 student. like what the hell? do i really look that young? oh well.. we decided to just nod and smile anyway hoping he'd get the message a move on, but he spent a whole 10 minutes, or more, talking to us anyway.

he also seemed to think that christian schools helped more in terms of character building and also boasts of a higher standard of english. hmm.. would have argued about the presence of other non-christian schools that aim and succeed in doing the above, but i thought better of it, since he might have gone on for another hour or so because he disagreed with my opinion.

quite freaky, actually. but it's been the first interesting that's happened in my life for a while.

oh, also went to the library and borrowed some books. yay! more stuff to keep me occupied for the next 2 weeks or so.

have to go to school tomorrow for some freshmen orientation thing. eep! new environment, new people, no friends... again. it's the third time this year that i've been thrown into a completely new place where i know no one. bleh. not looking forward to it at all.
