i just realised that yiling's birthday is just around the corner and i have no idea what to get her. sharon suggested F4 stuff but that would make me quite a hypocrite because the group sucks and her infatuation with them should not be further encouraged. besides, a book would be so much more practical... but if i gave her a book she'd prolly just chuck it aside since reading would probably top her 'least favourite things to do' list.

let me digress a little here. speaking of books, i've just started on neil gaiman's neverwhere and i think it's a lovely, lovely book by anequally lovely writer (pardon my limited vocab ;p). it's not exactly fiction but it's not exacly not either.

anyway, back to the subject. melissa and i were thinking of having a sleep-over which would include pizza, gambling, insanity and the works. but if we can't get her parents to agree to that, we'll just have dinner at mel's with squash and swimming and the usual stuff. so next came the food and i'd have to say that yiling is probably the most picky eater i know. let's see, no seafood, no veg and no fruits. now, that does leave us with much does it? bleh.
