friends. what will i do without them, i wonder. these people really make life bearable. they help me relax and are there for me in my darkest moments. i might appear to be a loner sometimes. but deep down, i really do feel the need for companionship and acceptance.

without these people, i'd be lost.

wai:
she's really my sister but sometimes, it feels like she's kind of like my best friend as well. i mean, in times of trouble, she's the first person i turn to for help, support and advise. so, we have our fights, like all other siblings but i it's also comforting to know that she'll always be there. some people, okay.. most people say we look alike, act alike and sound almost identical. but i beg to differ. bleh.

melissa (the ex partner and art genius):
sat beside her for the first half of this year, 2002. one of my best friends. she has a tendency to be moody in the mornings, especially when she dooesn't get enough sleep. always hungry.. how she manages to keep her figure is really beyond me, since she's usually the one who helps me finish my food. she's very good at lit, english, art and enjoys shopping, drawing/doodling and sports. she can be quite the sympathetic listener too!

sharon:
melissa's best friend since kindergarten and the other person i am most often found with. they've been in the same classes for 7 out of the 9 school years, if i'm not mistaken. little miss sunshine, although she can be very blunt. good with numbers and math in general. also sporty. always ready to be lame with me and crack me up.

yiling:
basketballer. she's really good at it but says she hates it. has a great sense of humour. i don't see her around much anymore. this is one emotional girl who isn't afraid to cry when she's feeling down. she likes card games and taught me how to play mahjhong and daidee (that how it's spelt? anyhow, it's a card game and it's dialect), both of which have something to do with gambling. lol. another math genius and her chinese is super good! (compared to most people i know anyway.)

debbie:
she's got a scary mom, which is why no one dares to call her at home. this pop-star crazy person who drives her (ex)partner in school crazy with her constant humming of pop-tunes and talk of boy bands. she idolises many stars like justin timberlake, the guys from blue and a1. when we last checked, her crush list was about a mile long. being the homework queen, she never fails to do her homework. she's very good at both math and chemistry.

cherylyn:
always rushing, always on the move, always having tuition. pretty good at her studies and hates her sister for always outshining her anyways. she's very different from me in terms of preferences and is constanly nagging me about my colour sense, or *clears throat* lack thereof. ;p

charlene:
what can i say about her... hmm. she's sort of a new found friend actually. well, we were classmates in primary school, i think. but i was never really acquainted with her till this year. she hates homework about as much as i do, and loves to go shopping at shops like top shop, miss selfridge and stuff like that. dressing wise, she's very much unlike me.

yu ying:
hmm.. she's always ready to be crazy with me. and it seems i do the craziest things when with her. great person to do verbal sparing with, although she can be the rather blunt, sarcastic and unfeeling one, but it's really not so bad once you get to know her a little bit better. also, she's the one who always helps me burn CDs, saving me much cash and computer memory. heh.

shou jie:
he's a really great person to talk to. always seems to know what to say, and is always willing to listen to me gripe. he can be so amusingly childish at times and yet exudes great depth and confidence. also writes amazingly.
