today marked my last field practicum session for the year. despite the way the kids always seem to get up to some mischief, i'm really going to miss them all. they're really quite a wonderful bunch who never fail to surprise you, especially the toddlers and playgroup kids- meaning the 18 months to 3 years olds.

in the playgroup class, there's a little boy whose english name is louis khoo and his chinese name's zhou jie lun, and another boy called wu zhong xian. what's up with parents these days?

this session is probably the most memorable session in the whole year i've been an ECH student.(how time flies, no?) something quite major happened and it involved lots of tears and quite a bit of blood. i suppose i feel somewhat responsible for what happened because i was supposed to look out for the kids and was so close by. yet, i was unable to prevent it from happening. somehow, zheng long managed to fall off a chair and split his lip in the five seconds i took to put a spoonful of noodles into jia xin's mouth during lunch. it's really quite unsettling to see so much blood from such a small body. he was bleeding so badly, he left a trail of blood behind him on the way to the toilet. poor boy.

thankfully, the rest of the day was a pretty happy one for the kids. with just a couple of biting cases (courtesy of the same person). managed to take quite a few pictures of the children too. :)

in other news, i still feel like i haven't slept properly in weeks.

one more project down and 10 pieces of art to go before thursday. 8 days to the exams (considering it's past 12am.) :(
