roses and lessons

2:16 am:
i can understand how shaiful could finish reading david williams' there should be roses script in one sitting. i just did too, actually. yes, all 94 pages of it. it's a really captivating and beautiful piece. i feel the playwright has effectively injected humor into an otherwise solemly touching play about love (idealistic as it may be, mostly). there were parts- especially where lester reminisces about his marriage, which almost made me cry.

however, i think adi's idea about reproducing a play of such a scale within 2 months would be very (if not overly) ambitious, especially in terms of sets. (shaiful?)

i liked jeff miller's lessons as well, but i think i prefer happy endings. :)

Love, Wan
